Change Custom Port on Jenkins

Jenkins is being used in order to automate application builds with ease.

And considering we have existing applications, we’re using some port that were being used in some application servers.

Thus, the default server port used by Jenkins was 8080, in order to change the port, just follow the below steps.

Steps:

1. just go to /etc/default/ directory and edit the jenkins file.

2. replace the line #HTTP_PORT=8080 with HTTP_PORT=1515 or <any port number you want>

then restart the jenkins server by executing command

assuming jenkins script on init.d directory

> sudo /etc/init.d/jenkins restart

check the jenkins by running/viewing  http://localhost:1515/

Then that’s it.
